What you should know
Gift cards are a powerful way to increase revenue and encourage repeat visits. During Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025, Moxie has preloaded five preset gift card amounts into your account to save you setup time.
If you're joining us from the future, you'll start with a blank list but you’ll be able to create your own gift cards from scratch using the same process.
Accessing gift cards
1. In the Global Nav, select Settings.
2. Select Services and products.
3. Choose Gift cards.
You’ll land on the Gift cards page, which includes two sections:
Gift card amounts (preset and custom range options)
Gift card bonuses (special-value promotions tied to certain ranges)
Creating gift cards
1. Select Set up gift cards (or Edit if preset amounts are already listed).
2. There are two ways to create gift cards:
Preset amount - client can purchase a defined amount
Custom amount - client can purchase any amount from the prescribed range
Let's explore both options below.
Preset amount
1. Select the Preset amounts option to create a new gift card with fixed amounts.
2. Enter the desired amount in the number field.
3. To add more preset amounts, select Add amount, and then enter a value in the field that appears.
Custom amount range
1. Select the Custom amount range option to create a new gift card with variable amounts.
2. Enter a minimum and maximum amount for the range.
Enabling gift cards for purchase
After adding your gift cards we still have to enable them for purchase.
1. Toggle on the following options depending on where you would like transaction to be available on.
Online store – allows clients to buy gift cards online
Sale in Moxie Suite – allows you to sell gift cards without an appointment in Moxie Suite.
2. Select Save.
Once saved, your gift cards are live and available for purchase.
Edit, or remove gift cards
Edit: Select Edit in the top-right corner of the Gift cards section.
Remove: Select the trash can icon next to a preset amount.
✏️ Note – The trash can icon appears only for preset amounts and only if more than one amount exists.
You can update gift card at any time. All changes take effect immediately for future purchases.
FAQs
Can I sell gift cards both online and in person?
Yes. Turn on both Online store and Sale in Moxie Suite toggles when saving.
Both options sell digital gift cards that load directly into the client’s wallet in Moxie Suite, the difference is where the sale happens:
Online store – clients purchase gift cards through your online store.
Sale in Moxie Suite – your team sells a digital gift card directly inside Moxie Suite (for example, at checkout or over the phone).
✏️ Note – Physical gift cards are not supported at this time.
Can I create a gift card range instead of preset amounts?
Yes. Use the custom range option to set minimum and maximum purchase values.
