Use this reference to find your medspa's Medical Director (MD) oversight fee based on your state, service menu, and client volume. These rates apply to medspas working with a Moxie in-house MD. If your medspa contracts with an external MD, you and your MD set your fee structure directly.

Moxie reviews oversight fees twice per year, in January and July, based on your medspa's trailing revenue and client volume. Fee changes take effect the following billing cycle.

For medspas in California, North Carolina, or Illinois with oversight from an in-house MD, your monthly invoice includes the Moxie Support Fee ($300). This fee covers professional corporation (PC) management, year-round PC oversight, billing management, software support, taxes, and PC bookkeeping.

The following table shows the monthly oversight fee by service type:

✏️ Note — If offering even one advanced service (peptides, HRT, or lasers), your medspa is billed at the full advanced-services rate. Advanced services aren't averaged or prorated against your standard-service volume.

✏️ Note — If your medspa's net revenue stays below $10,000 for 6 or more consecutive months, your fee stays at $950/month even if your service menu includes advanced services.

Client volume adjustment: For every 100 patients seen in a 6-month period, your MD's compensation increases by $125/month, regardless of service type. This adjustment only applies once your medspa's net revenue passes $10,000/month.

For medspas outside California, North Carolina, and Illinois with oversight from an in-house M the following table shows the monthly oversight fee by service type:

Client volume adjustment: For every 100 patients seen in a 6-month period, your MD's compensation increases by $125/month, regardless of service menu. This adjustment only applies once your medspa's net revenue passes $10,000/month.

If your medspa is expanding to a new location, a separate flat-rate structure applies until your combined net revenue across all locations reaches $10,000/month. After that, your standard rate structure applies based on the scenario below.

In all three scenarios, the client volume adjustment applies once your combined net revenue across all locations passes $10,000/month: your MD's compensation increases by $125/month for every 100 patients seen across all locations in a 30-day period.

If your medspa contracts with an external MD instead of a Moxie in-house MD, you and your MD set your oversight fee directly. Moxie facilitates payments but does not set your rate.

✏️ Note — In California, North Carolina, and Illinois, if you have an external MD but choose to have Moxie manage your PC, your invoice still includes the $300 Moxie Support Fee in addition to the oversight fee you and your MD agree on.
