Overview
Use this workflow to complete onboarding after a medspa brings you on as its external Medical Director. The medspa cannot launch until you finish these steps, so completing them promptly keeps the medspa's launch on schedule.
Confirm your external MD onboarding readiness with the medspa
Before you're onboarded, the medspa completes a few steps on their end.
The medspa confirms with you that you can use Moxie Suite, complete onboarding within 3 to 5 business days, and sign legal and financial documents.
The medspa shares your full name and email address, the agreed monthly oversight fee, their target launch date, and whether you'll use your own PC or a Moxie-managed one with their Onboarding Manager (OM) or Provider Success Manager (PSM).
You receive an introductory email from Moxie with your next steps. The medspa is copied on this email.
Moxie sends your introductory email within 24 hours of the medspa submitting your details to their OM or PSM. If you haven't received this email within 24 hours of confirming with the medspa, ask them to contact their OM or PSM, or reach out to the Moxie MD Ops team directly.
Complete your required external MD onboarding steps
Once you receive your introductory email, complete the following steps:
[ ] Completing the Compliance Intake form for the Moxie MD Ops team.
[ ] Signing agreements and responding to Moxie by email in a timely manner.
[ ] Approving pharmacy and medical supplies account setup.
[ ] Completing pharmacy account training and sending Moxie your certificates.
[ ] Logging in to Moxie Suite.
[ ] Signing protocols and standing orders, or a Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) if the provider you're overseeing is a nurse practitioner (NP).
[ ] Completing chart and GFE access training.
[ ] Completing the pre-launch checklist with the medspa.
[ ] Providing your medical license number and expiration date
If you don't respond, the medspa's launch can be delayed by 2 to 3 or more weeks. Moxie contacts you up to 3 times about outstanding steps. After the third attempt, following up with you becomes the medspa's responsibility.
❗ Important — If you refuse to sign the required agreements, Moxie does not onboard you. The medspa cannot launch under your oversight until a signed agreement is on file.
You receive a monthly oversight fee and are expected to manage these steps independently. Medspas that work with responsive Medical Directors typically launch weeks faster than those whose Medical Directors delay onboarding.
